They showed us a sloth and baby that live close by the reception area. The gift shop sources locally made goods, which was a really special. " Our stay at Kaluma Villas was very nice. We used this as our home base for exploring La Fortuna. It's a newer complex of villas about a 15 minute drive from the bustle of town. The chalet was clean, well equipped and welcoming. The living area is quite small, but bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The pool and patio area is a nice plus. Security is good and we felt quite safe during our stay. This is an ideal spot for 2 couples exploring the area and seeking a quiet respite outside of La Fortuna. "
