"We had an authentic Japanese experience staying here. The location was perfect - the house was on a quiet street while still being very close to the main attractions in the Gion area. The interior was beautiful, clean and well insulated with heated floors and AC in each room. Beds were very comfortable and the upstairs living offered a lovely veiw of the Yasaka Pagoda. The cute garden out the back with the foot bath was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a long day of walking. Overall,...

"まだ改装されて半年程のため室内はとても綺麗でした。オーナーについてや注意事項等がファイリングされておりわかりやすかった。民家に隣接しているので物音など少し気を使いました。一般のテレビは設置されていないので流し見したかったのは少し残念ですがまた利用したいと思いました。"

"We loved our stay here would highly recommend the hotel. The location worked great close to the train station and lots of shopping great city bakery right across the street with wonderful baked goods and sandwiches and lattes, etc. staff were wonderful and the rooms were very nice."

"Travelled with my 14 y/o daughter and 20 y/o niece. We all ranked this hotel #1. We stayed in a total of 4 hotels, ranging from 3 - 5 star. This hotel even beat our Mira Costa Disneysea hotel which only prevailed if we were only judging the convenience to the Disneysea park itself! Otherwise, Cross Hotel Kyoto has better bathrooms and especially toilet; Cross Hotel Kyoto has great coffee in- room and downstairs at their lobby. Mira Costa has instant coffee that tasted like brown water! Location to stores for shopping, bakeries and restaurants is definitely a plus! Hotel was very convenient when we forwarded our luggage to Tokyo hotel. We highly recommend this place!"

"The property is extremely beautiful, the amenities, especially the onsen bath were amazing and the rooms were spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed. The breakfast and lunch were delicious and the bar staff were relatively attentive. The front staff were helpful and attentive. If you need to do laundry they do have public coin laundry but it is always very busy so you may be waiting a very long time. We wish we would’ve upgraded our room with laundry included as we ended up having to go to a laundromat down the street (in the rain)."
