"Very nice property. Staff were rude and disrespectful on multiple occasions (especially security). Handled a lost item situation very poorly and made us feel unsafe and vulnerable. Accused us of just being young and drunk when the item was reposted missing. (When in the end another guest stole it by mistake?) for that reason alone I won’t be recommending this hotel to any friends or family. "

You had to give your room key everytime you ordered and then sign the receipt. "Dear Team, I am writing to escalate concerns from my recent stay at GR Solaris Cancun Resort, which fell significantly below expectations. 1. Room Allocation & Handling (Primary Concern) Despite booking a king bed, we were given two small double beds. No resolution was provided. We were asked to check out at 11 AM and wait until 3 PM for a new room—forcing us to wait 4 hours with valuables, which is unacceptable. 2. Misleading Lagoon View The lagoon view room had a completely blocked view. Expedia images appear misleading. 3. Food Issues Very limited vegetarian options; customization took excessively long. 4. Slow Service Service across the resort was consistently slow. 5. No Drinks at Closing No beverages were served near closing time. 6. Missing Basic Amenities No dental kit available; we were asked to purchase one. 7. Room Key Issues Key malfunctioned repeatedly despite multiple fixes. 8. Shuttle Mismanagement Asked to be ready at 2 PM; shuttle arrived at 2:20 PM. The travel agent was unhelpful and rude. This delay risked missing our flight. Overall, this experience was frustrating and not aligned with expected standards. I request a prompt response with corrective actions and appropriate compensation."

"In the hotel there is nothing to do,after you go to the restaurant. The buffet is very limited, we stay 5 days and only one of those there was Mexican food ‘, the water in the shower and in the wash basing smelled very, very very bad. The jacuzzi in the room was dirty with a lot of soap scum."

"The staff was super kind and helpful. We thought the food was good, not sure what other reviewers complained about. The property is 20 years old so you notice a little wear and tear but most of all it was great. Rooms were spacious for family of 4. Our only complaint was they do try to upsell a lot and join infinity group or buy spa services. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend for families."

"Immaculate resort, beautiful beach, impeccable service and amazing food. Thoughtful touches around the resort, both buffets and all specialty restaurants consistently deliver, pool activities were fun. The only item for improvement was the evening entertainment- the fire show was superb, the Broadway show was good, the rest was mediocre. But overall, we definitely will recommend to anyone and will surely return next year! "

"Booking the restaurants is such a complicated thing to do. My wife and I waited at the stake house in a line for 35 minutes. The host would not grant us entrance to the restaurant although we had booked at 7:00 pm. They make it complicated to go to the restaurants so, guests just keep on going to the buffet. We’ll never go back to this hotel. "
