"We stayed in a cabin room. Great view of the Panamint mountains and night sky. The Staff was very nice and helpful. We had lunch at the restaurant and it was also very good. The bartender was very helpful with tips on viewing the night sky! No WiFi or cell service on the camping / cabin rooms side of the road which we were told about well in advance of our stay. Didn’t need connections the solitude & beauty was worth it! Stayed one nite."

"I got sidetracked and left a bag in the room. I was not two miles out of town when I re received a call from the owner re my bag. He went to the extra effort to pull the records to find my phone # in order to call me. That represents a person who cares. Thank you."

"The staff was kind and helpful. I was surprised there was a self service kiosk there for check in, but i requested a human staff member and i was helped. The manager was helpful and accommodating for me. I enjoyed the pool, and the room. A few things i think could be improved, more hours open in the morning for the pool, and improving the walkway on the second floor."

"Everyone was really friendly and I LOVED that they have an ice machine! My favorite taco truck is around the corner… what more could I ever want? I have a lot of friends who hike Mount Whitney this time of year… if you want some exposure, let me know. 😉"

"This is a delightfully quirky place to stay. Staff were wonderful, informative and helpful. The original owner, sadly deceased, was definitely an eccentric. Those who manage the property today are keen to continue her vision. The property is rundown but that did not detract from the pleasure of being somewhere, at the end of our Death Valley drive, with a bit of character."
