Room was clean,we felt adventurous thats why we wanted to stay in an actual pyramid. It was very calm and quite as the casino is below the entertainment floor that gives it a barrier. We did the modern way and had to smchexk ourselves in but,they had the name wrong and couldn't find my reservation.,fortunately the team member who we can tell had the patience of a saint looked through everything and got us a very nice room. Thank you to that team member.

The elevators were really dirty. The front desk staff lady, as we were leaving, was a jerk and didn’t seem to care at all to help. I appreciated the selection of things to do inside of Luxor. The towels could have been softer but the bed was really nice. The keyless card system was rough to use and some times did not work.

Wonderful hotel! Great location too, the only thing that lets the rooms down are the lack of minibar or fridge and no tea or coffee making facilities. Could do with an in room kettle to avoid having to go downstairs to pay a small fortune for a coffee each morning. The lack of this means they lose a star from my rating.

Rooms are very outdated. We had to switch rooms. Sink was stopped up, and air conditioner made a very loud noise. Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything outside your door. The front desk staff is awesome. They gave us a different room and $65 in food vouchers.

The room is spartan (even the “premier” rooms. The check-in process was the worse I’ve ever experienced as you are forced to utilize an automated system kiosk which seemed to work for about 1 out of every 5 people trying to check in. The staff are extremely helpful and fixed the two problems we had at check in but it took over 1 1/2 hours to get a room after we arrived. Spend a little more and go to the middle of the strip, which is more convenient anyway. If you want to stay on the south end, go to Mandalay Bay which is connected to Luxor or across the street to NY or MGM Grand.

I'm giving a 3 out of 5 to be generous since the Luxor is the host of the Titanic Exhibit and it gave a very nice view from the slanted window. Having said that: a) Gemini said that I could request a complimentary shaving kit from the desk but both the housekeeper and the concierge concurred that that was phased out - the kit was migrated to the store for sale. 0k fine. 2) the local {not express} tram outside bypassed me six times, obliging me to go to nearby Mandalay and walk through all the casinos and retail stores to wend back to the Luxor. Then when I inquired at the desk how to navigate this situation, some arrogant attendant {who WASN'T there} tried to tell me the local tram always stopped there. iii) I selected the environmentally-conscious option to not have housekeeping cleaning every day, which still offered a visit every third day {and/or some kind of wellness check} but in my week, I had no housekeeping AT ALL. After the third day, every time I'd step out, I'd remove the DND sign and leave a tip and came back to the same growing bag of trash {which I photographed and tied up before leaving}.
