"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day. - the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...

A lovely little city that is like stepping back in time and is a bit quieter than a lot of the bigger cities. The city can be seen in a day if you're willing to do a bit of walking and it's a perfect middle point to visit Pisa.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city’s cobbled streets and historic sites. Mornings were a treat thanks to the generous breakfast spread: fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, and delicious Italian coffee that kept us going all day. The location was ideal—quiet yet close to everything, including the city walls and lovely piazzas. It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, hospitality, and value so well.
