"Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca and Villa Romantica!"

"This is the second time I've stayed at this property and once again it was a very rewarding experience. It's a family run hotel and there is a great deal of warmth toward customers. My room was well maintained and I really like the fact that there was always somebody at the front desk in the event I had a question. Giovanni was very helpful on arranging transport for me to the train station.. I look forward to return to Lucca when I do, hopefully I'll be able to stay at this property again."

"This is a little gem of a hotel in a quiet lane, very close to everything. We did find the people working in our building to be quite loud early in the morning. Also, passers by in the alley late at night were loud too. Other than that, it was a lovely stay. The beds are comfortable lots of space."

"We loved everything about Relais San Lorenzo. Daniela is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. The building is beautiful and dates from the 17th century, but everything is in top condition and works really well. The location is absolutely perfect. Very highly recommended. This was our first time in Lucca and we loved the city. We hope to return and will definitely stay in Relais San Lorenzo again!"

"Amazing place to stay and visit Lucca walled city . The rooms are spacious beautiful decorated, comfy beds nice and cosy for when we got back from walking around the city. Breakfast was amazing, with loads to eat all fresh all great quality. Most of all the lovely people working there make you feel so welcome and we can thanks enough for all they did for us!
