Good area, close to train and food
Great area, close to the train station, 20minute walk to Nishiki market. Room is ok-sized. There is Japanese style bath, but no seat/chair for the shower. Heater does not work

A great little place to stay in Gion, staff were very attentive and approachable and spoke English which helped me as my Japanese was very limited. Great area, we could get buses to Kyoto station frequently and then go out from there to all the sites. Family mart close by for lunch and dinners if you did not wish to dine out. Loved our stay.

We arrived at the property after 2 days of flying and we couldn’t stop raving about the service, the rooms and the bedding. We thought we were sleeping on a cloud! Great location! Amazing restaurants next door! Domo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Great location, very accessible to different transportation options. It's also within walkable distance to a key areas. The room itself is pretty straightforward with refillable basic amenities. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is excellent.

京阪四条駅近くの和風ホテル
数回目の滞在で、京阪四条駅から近くて便利なので使用しています。和風のホテルで、コーヒーと緑茶のサービスが室内にあって助かります。ただ、チェックアウト時間が10時と早目なので、もう1時間遅いと嬉しいです。

A real hidden Gem
An economy hotel but excellent location (Gion), friendly staff and comfortable bed! Laundry room is available (coin operated) -very easy to use. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic - walking distance to the train station and food area over the bridge. The room is small and cleaning is per request and the beds are very comfortable. Its clean and very practical. There are many places to eat and shop in the Gion area including all the tourist sites. Great hotel and a real hidden gem !

Like every Japan hotel, the rooms are small so we expected that. It is extremely hot outside so it does not help that there is no air conditioning in the hallways or elevator. The air conditioning in the room is not the greatest either. It is right above the bed and changes constantly making it either too cold or hot. The hotel room however is clean and staff are helpful

Great Stay in Gion
Loved the location and nice, clean rooms. The hotel provided free luggage storage while we were out of town for one night on a day-trip. It also has a nice little restaurant, Gyoza8, which serves up a good selection of Gyozas. Only downside is that they don't provide room cleaning service unless you ask for it.

I stayed here with my wife during a trip to Kyoto. The location in Gion is great, and is close to lots of transportation options. The rooms were nice and clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. The laundry facility was a bonus.

Rooms were a lot smaller then expected but staff was extremely helpful and friendly. One of the receptionists even contacted a venue on our behalf to have our tour changed to a more convenient date.

No room with a view but a good option for a short
The rooms were as exepected, small compact but definitely clean. The staff was great and friendly, prompt on check out(they’ll call or knock at 10 AM). The neighborhood is ideal as it’s across the bridge from everything, a brisk walk. In terms of culture, across the bridge is more metropolitan and cosmo where the hotel is is definitely a working class community. We also noticed that the street becomes what looks to be lady bars or clubs at night, mainly thurs-sat. So don’t be surprised if you see plenty of Japanese business men by the droves hitting up the clubs.

立地的に、自分の行動のしやすい位置範囲で、気軽に宿泊ができたので、良かったです。 室内は衛生的です。 ナイティの用意が無いと記載されていたので、準備をして行ったところ、部屋にはしっかり用意がされていたので、それは訂正されると良いと思いました。なるべく荷物は少なくしたいので、用意があるなら持っていかなくて良かったのに・・と。
