"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

"If you need a clean bed and spacious room close to the downtown area and the train station, this is a good option. Clean room and location this is it for this hotel. We have barely crossed the entry door and they were already hard selling an upgrade and other amenities. "Check in and out were the easiest.. Breakfast was delicious and the location was awesome.. Very close to the Train station and York Minster and all that you want to see."

"The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Nice clean room, nicely decorated and lovely bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly and made sure my parking was sorted and I had everything I needed for my stay. The bar was nice and well priced but I didn't have any food myself but I heard it was nice. I would stay there again definitely"
