"Our 2nd stay at The Jorvik. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean with an excellent shower. We chose not to have a breakfast tray as there are plenty of eating options nearby. The minibar was very well stocked. "

"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

Big dispensers of shampoo/body wash, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion in my Queen room. The Queen room is perfect for one guest. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return on my next visit to York."
