"When we arrived to check-in around 6 pm, there was no one at the front desk to help us. We waited about 15 minutes, until an employee finally emerged from the elevator. I know this is probably due to short-staffing; however, there should be an attendant at the front desk at all times (especially after 3 pm for check-in). "Newly renovated rooms were perfect! Very clean and comfortable. I called to see if I could get in an hour early due to a scheduling conflict. The owner allowed me to get in early and showed me how to order breakfast. Such a homey environment! I was alone and felt safe in a new area, and would bring my family back for the great location! "

"We were greeted by the owner…she very graciously showed us around the hotel and gave us a room with a view of the New River. She was very welcoming. The 1902 building has been beautifully restored. The room was great…as a side note, she told us that they would be opening a steakhouse in town in a couple of weeks. The space worked very well for us as a couple. Note that they have rooms and dining options available for scheduling an event for friends and family."
