I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. As usual, the room was spotlessly clean and well set up. Front desk was polite and efficient. I did note a couple of items though that need attention from hotel management. The hotel parking is super funky for 40 GBP a day. Each time you want to exit, you have to ask the front desk for an exit ticket so you don’t get charged an additional 60 GBP. I’m not sure if this is due to some IT difficulty with the parking barrier or some other arcane policy to make things super inconvenient. This needs to be fixed. Also the breakfast buffet was not quite as good as I remember, but in spite of that, the service was a bit off as well - you only get one cup of coffee unless you hunt down a server and the coffee machine like most other hotels trust their guests to use was heavily guarded by servers. Also the silver ware was cleaned up after one plate of food. Not wishing to sound greedy, but if you’re only going to permit one plate of food and one cup of coffee, go to an a la carte set-up. At least the food would be fresher. Other Sofitel hotels do breakfast much better e.g in Dubai.
