"We loved a one night stay at Riverside cottages. We were there for a graduation from college of Charleston. And our whole family had a beach house at Folly Beach so we decided to just rent one of the bedrooms in the cottages. It was very pleasant. Everything was clean a good night sleep. "We had an excellent stay at Water’s Edge. The B&B was well kept, the breakfast was great, and the location is unbeatable! Unfortunately the hot tub now closes at 9pm and we didn’t get a chance to use it but it looked like a great set up. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are steep stairs to access the B&B and more stairs to access the rooms."

"The hotel itself had a great aesthetic, a beautiful pool area, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the actual room experience was very disappointing. The room was extremely small for my husband, daughter, and myself. The space felt very cramped, including the bathroom, and it made the stay uncomfortable overall. In addition, the TV in the room was broken and would not shut off unless it was unplugged. When I went behind the TV to unplug it, I discovered piles of dust built...

"Had a decent breakfast, smelled clean, and air conditioner worked great! Downside was every morning we could hear them loading and unloading boats. Bathroom was in desperate need of renovation. Shower rod was half broken and ceiling paint was peeling off to name a few things."

"Attitude was a real deal breaker for us. After arriving to our room we discovered the lights were out for 3/4 of the room - particularly troublesome for the bathroom. Went to front desk and waited about 20 min for someone to come and check out what we assumed to be a fuse issue. Another 20 min and problem is not resolved. Go to the desk to get an update and Miss Attitude is very sassy despite the patience and respect we afforded her. We had been on the beach all day and wanted to shower and head...

"The resort views are nice, but the room needs a bit of extra care. They gave me a blanket with holes in it. The bed protector needs to be replaced; it has holes and stains. All the bed skirts are about to fall off as we walk around, especially since the room is so small. The floor is scratched, and the bathroom door has no handle. I don't know how this resort got a 4-star rating."

"I asked for a handicap accessible room & was told they didn’t have any. There weren’t any grab bars around the tub & nothing on the tub floor to keep you from falling. I was very disappointed & nervous that I would fall or my traveling companion which is 85 years old. She opted to just wipe off than take a chance with falling!"
