"I can't say enough about this place. 5 stars all the way. The staff was fantastic from the moment we pulled up to check in until the moment we loaded the car to leave. Arriving in our room we were happy to find that there was a separate bedroom area. The view was phenomenal from our 15th floor room. The pool in the top floor also had stunning views. I can't wait to stay here again!!!"

"The hostel itself is a nice place. The staff is friendly, the bars and cafes are also very clean with some good drinks and bites to eat… however comma the room that we stayed in was a private quad suite that didn’t have a working AC unit. We tried to get someone to come and help but the “engineer” that came in told us the AC couldn’t go below 72 because the system in the hotel would shut it off. I’m not sure that is the case but who am I to say. I would honestly reconsider staying but absolutely...

"I had an amazing view of Lake Michigan and the area but unfortunately Michigan Ave is very noisy at all times of the day and night. In addition, there were no black out shades and due to the rooms facing East, the sunrise was bright and early. I had to buy a sleeping mask just to sleep to 7am. The hotel is located in a great area so if you can overlook those issues, then you’d be fine. "

"My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Riu Plaza Chicago. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast & bar is so delicious we definitely will come back. Chi Love you! Thank you so much."

"Roof top bar was very limited. My room had not a strip of toilet paper. Conditioner was out! Had two shampoos and no body wash. "

"Ambassador Gold Coast Hotel was alright at best. Charging a $150 deposit for the room was excessive and disappointing. The staff was okay, but most of them seemed to have an attitude, which made the experience less enjoyable. "

"Staff is excellent. Breakfast was below standards - muffins, fruit, juice, and a couple breakfast sandwiches the staff put in the microwave. I’d pass on the breakfast. Nice location. Rooms were okay - the bed in our room was full of cat scratches."

"Since we have checked in, I have gotten 3 charges! Fees they don't tell you when you check in. I have been charged even after check out and no one is responding."

"Got there to checkin and the guy manning the front desk could barely look up to say welcome. Just pointed to a self checkin kiosk. Later that night we mentioned the TV wasn't work properly and the person at the desk said they would need an engineer to fix it. There was also a constant "thump" sound every few minutes. Not sure it was construction or what Room service was good. Guest services was better after the first night. It was ok"

"Kitchen was out of service for some unknown reason so could not get dinner or breakfast and the bar closed at 10pm so couldn’t even have a drink when we got back from the theater. "

"This hotel was a good size for our family of 5. The unit was spacious with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. the living room has a pull out couch. The kitchenette had the essentials, the only thing missing was kettle. This hotel is about 2 blocks from Michigan ave just down the street from the drake hotel. The breakfast was ok, it has the basics to get your day going but I don’t think our family would rave about it."
