Familjärt med charm

Familjärt hotell med charm. Ligger ovanför en rejäl uppförsbacke men de skjutsar till/från liftsystemet på begäran. Lämplig promenad ner till byn och restaurangerna, de har även egen restaurang som vi inte testade. Mysigt ställe!

I strongly recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel with an atmosphere that make you feel welcome. The view feom the hotel over the village and mountains were priceless. The rooms and other areas is clean and well maintained. It is not top modern but very comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Cozy and comfortable stay

The stay was very relaxing. It was the most comfortable and restful property we stayed at during this vacation through Switzerland. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Due to an early train we had to check out before the breakfast was available but we were still provided coffee, juice, and croissants before our departure. A wonderful all around experience.

Riktigt fin service!

Mycket trevlig ägarinna som tog väl hand om oss, bl.a. skjutsade hon oss till det hotell vi skulle bo på efter vistelsen på hotell Edelweiss. Det mest positiva var de sköna sängarna med ljuvliga dunbolster och den fantastiska utsikten! Sämst var att badrummet var snålt utrustat med tvål/schampo/balsam. Det fanns ingen tvål vid handfatet, kanske hade städerskan glömt det, utan vi använde tvålen som fanns fastbyggd i duschkabinen. Bodylotion och balsam saknades helt. Hotellet är ganska slitet, men anrikt och vackert på sina ställen. Det är rent och mycket tyst. Frukosten var bra, där den lokala osten och yoghurten stack ut som riktiga vinnare. I övrigt var frukosten vad jag förväntade mig men inget mer.

Super équipe à la réception, situation idéale et ambiance agréable. Malheureusement nous sommes tombés sur une chambre donnant à l'arrière sans balcon, dommage... Les équipements sont anciens (planchers en bois anciens très bruyants et cloisons fines entre les chambres) mais la chambre était propre et de bonnes dimensions. Rapport qualité-prix jugé un peu trop élevé pour cette chambre. L'établissement fermera bientôt pour faire place à des appartements.

Recommend hotel for family with children

Hotel can arrange transfer from hotel to train station. Hotel have a lot facilities for children to play. Near supermarket. Will return to stay here..

Hotell i äldre stil med allt du behöver

Edelweiss har allt du behöver - kanske inte i den senaste designen men allt finns där. Har aldrig bott på ett hotell med mer tillmötesgående personal/ägare. Jag kände mig verkligen hemma. Dock är frukosten under försäsongen (vinter) för liten - te och två croissanter.

From the very beginning they were super nice and kind. They were helpful and so hospitable. It was a wonderful stay and everything was clean and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended a day and they gave a good price.

Great view and facilities for children

The staff are considerate to arrange our two rooms together , so that we share a very big balcony. The kids have a very existing fun time before dinner in the garden. The historical hotel is very well taking care of and we loved the decorations. The view of the rooms were beyond our expectation .

Quaint European Experience

This was such a delightful surprise for our trip to Engelberg. You enjoy the amenities of a hotel but have the impeccable customer service you would encounter at a Bed and Breakfast. The family suite was very comfortable for a family of five with three teenage kids. The hotel was quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle but just a few minutes walk down the hill to the action. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
