"Location was perfect. Jorvik center, the dungeons, the shambles were all within 15 minute walking radius. Breakfast was a decent buffet. Good swimming pool and facilities. "
"The Cairn hotel was excellent value for money, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly, the food was good abd the bed was comfy, what more can you ask. Our only negative was the hotel was looking tired in parts with flaky paint on the ceiling."

"In a really good position for getting into the city, with many bars and restaurants very close by, parking onsite is a little expensive (in my opinion) £25 per night. We found a parking spot 5 minutes walk away for £9 overnight, other than that definitely recommend this hotel."
