"From a lovely Indian girl on reception who went out of her way to assist me. Nicest reception staff I’ve experienced in Oxford area and I generally stay in the city centre, Marriot, Malmaison, Premier inn. The hotel overall was much nicer than any of the above. I usually visit about every 6?weejs fir a medical appointment, sometimes 4 weeks. I will be staying 100%"

"What a quirky hotel on the edge of old Oxford. Easy walking to all that Oxford has to offer and copious restaurants and cafes on your doorstep but that said, the hotel does have a very nice restaurant downstairs so I'd definitely give that a try. Tip - pre-book your parking."

"Great staff and location. Nice overnight stay. Double bed was 2 singles joined and in need of replacing. My big gripe however isn't that though, its something that can be easily rectified. The coffee at breakfast was awful. Really bad. You remember things like that and it does make a difference."

"The staff was the kindest and most helpful that I have ever met. There were so many thoughtful touches- guiding us to our room, coffee and tea in our room offering unlimited information on demand. Quality touches such as robes and slippers, heated towel rack, beautiful lighting ( even in the closet) and excellent toiletries. "We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. Guest services were very helpful both prior to arrival and on the day. We we definitely be back! "
