"The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. Close to Queen Street, skytower the waterfront. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower could do with a little more water pressure and there were a few broken tiles that need replacing but other than that thr room was great. We had dinner amd breakfast at the restaurant and both were very tasty and enjoyable."

"My friend and I had a great stay at this hotel, which is perched on a hill with stunning views of the mountains and Lake Wakatipu. The lakeside studio room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with a handy kitchenette that came in useful for late night hunger in winter. Overall, it was an excellent stay, though a more modern TV would have made the in-room entertainment even better."

"Great breakfast buffet, think need to update food menu especially ordering late night snacks bit of a poor selection and what you do get ain't worth the price. Room good clean bed comfy, problem top floor 25 you can hear your neighbour talking etc when inside your bathroom bit of worry hearing neighbours. close to amenities. "

"The front desk was attentive when I asked for the kettle to be changed out. It was very useful to have access to laundry facilities for free if you do not have them in your room, you just need your own detergent or can ask staff to provide (not sure if they ask for a fee for that). Staff were friendly and I loved the room. The breakfast was fine, but perhaps could do with more variety as the days I went there it was the same each time. Maybe a buffet dinner as an option for one free meal each...

"Everything about this place is great, staff, location, and the room was tidy and warm. My only issue, which is more for other people is that the hot water in the shower doesn't work very well. The hot water on the sink tap is fine, but the shower struggles even for lukewarm. Luckily, I shower cold most of the time anyway, but others may not like it. Some pics just before I left"

"Check in was smooth and no complications. Couple of the facilities were not available at the time fitness center, and however, they gave a voucher to go to an alternative location if needed. Breakfast set up is quite organized and well presented options were good. laundry facilities was also kept up and no real wait for using any of the machines Location of the hotel, relatively close to the central business district on top of the hill. "Staff were very lovely. Check-in was easy with easy bag drop both before and after check-in/check out. Lots of details that made us question the rating of the property, but also would have been totally reasonable for a 3-star property. Everything was totally fine and nothing really to write home about but we definitely questioned the 5-star rating we had seen daily. I wouldn't *not* recommend this hotel. If it's in your price range, it's totally ok, but absolutely buyer beware- you are getting...
