"Comfortable, good location with shuttle to get/from Kawaguchiko, and lovely staff. We had a great view of Mount Fuji, 4 different types of slippers (!), in-room amenities including coffee beans that you could grind yourself, and a lovely tub with a view. "

"First time visiting a Ryokan and I will definitely return! Everybody was friendly, the service from all the staff was above and beyond and the rooms were all super clean, even if it wasn't a modern hotel. All the onsens were well maintained and they switch up the male/ female onsens daily so everyone gets to try them. My favourite was the 5th floor outdoor onsen, while we also booked a room with a view of Mt Fuji and a personal onsen which was super handy as we only saw Mt Fuji at sunrise during our trip so we did not have to leave our rooms at dawn. Overall 10/10!"

"Location is perfect. Walking distance to everything but away from the craziness. Staff: 10+/10 AMAZING, friendly, perfect staff. (Thank you for an amazing stay, and being so friendly and welcoming to our son) Room size is huge compared to hotels not only In Japan, but around the world. The reviews talk about the outdated and older rooms and amenities, but it doesn’t matter because everything is so well clean and kept. Onsen is great, and even allow tattoos! We will definitely be back to Kawaguchi and this hotel! "

"Really amazing and restful stay. We stayed for three nights and felt very refreshed after the stay, having experienced the delicious food offered and enjoyable activities (we did the early morning canoeing, aerial stretching and rented a bike to cycle around the lake). This hotel is not for people squirmish about bugs or those looking for extreme lux. This hotel is for people seeking lush greenery, great views, and taking time to detach and relax. "
