"We stayed in a Japanese style room for three nights. The room was larger than expected with a fabulous view of Mount Fuji (weather permitting). Futon beds were very comfortable with additional mattresses available if required. Excellent shower in the bathroom. Breakfast: a huge choice of breakfast food, but very busy at opening time (7.30 am). We had a Japanese meal in the restaurant which was average when compared to some of the restaurants we ate at in in town. Would suggest booking in advance if wanting to eat at the hotel. Our preferred slot of 19.45 was full booked when we arrived. The hotel is located about 3.5Km from Kawaguchi-Ko. The hotel shuttle bus runs between the hotel and the station at Kawaguchi-Ko on an hourly basis. The bus is a minibus seating about 20 people, so if you want to use the shuttle bus early booking is highly recommended as it fills up fast. Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff Amazing views of Mount Fuji Rooms are large and comfortable. Negatives Distance from Kawaguchi-Ko town and lack of transport (buses and taxis) after 8pm can mean it's a long walk home if you choose to eat in the town. rrrestaurants"

"We could not have had a more delightful stay at Kumonoue Fuji Hotel. The property was absolutely gorgeous as was our room. Our private onsen overlooking an incredible view of Mt. Fuji was surreal. We got lucky and it was a clear day and we saw the mountain in all of its glory! Our beds were so comfortable and the room was immaculately clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was a short walk down to a beautiful park where we watched the sunrise. We highly recommend this property and hope to be back someday soon!"
