"The only time we saw anyone actually at the front desk was the day we checked in. We left the hotel early in the morning and returned in the evening each day exhausted and had to get a new key for each day because they were changing the locks or doing whatever. It wouldn't have been so bad if the staff was actually around to help you right away. They are hardly ever at the front desk, especially the guy working nights! We called out, "HEY! Anybody here?" "HELLLLLO????" and still nobody showed....

"Despite this being an older hotel it is well maintained and clean. Easy access from I-26 and only 20 minutes from downtown Charleston."

"The pool area is not well kept or clean. Breakfast included, but same food was offered everyday over 4 days of the stay, so we ended up grabbing breakfast out. Not convenient to downtown Charleston or the beaches if you are looking to go there."

"The only thing I don’t like was that breakfast wasn’t included. I recommend if the stay is more than 3 days or more theee should be a voucher for breakfast"

"Don’t understand all of the glowing reviews. Room was tiny, bathroom walls had white stains all over and toilet paper stuck to them, shower floor was level with the rest of the bathroom floor so the water just flowed across the whole bathroom, which was very unsafe. Neighborhood didn’t feel very safe. Really glad this was just a quick stay for us."

"Although the staff was friendly and polite, the cleanliness of the room was completely unacceptable. There was a dead cockroach inside the built-in air conditioner located near the floor. Even worse, the bathtub had sand that had not been cleaned, and there was someone else’s pubic hair on both the walls and inside the bathtub. It was absolutely disgusting. Taking a shower in those conditions was extremely unpleasant. We arrived late in the evening after a long drive, so we didn’t want to...

"Housekeeping came into my room DID NOT clean but removed my personal items off the dresser. I found my items in a clear garbage bag down the hall from my room. Due to it being the weekend there was no manager around and still no follow up."

"Had a great time. Even extended our stay. Breakfast was great and staff was wonderful. Anything we needed just asked and got it. Would highly recommend. The area is right off the highway. A lot of places around us and nothing was too far away."

"I’ll start off with saying the staff was absolutely amazing! So friendly and welcoming. The downside was the pictures shown when renting definitely don’t match. The property is definitely in need of an upgrade as the room I was in looked like it could have been involved in a crime of some sort. "It was a bit difficult accessing the WiFi. We were told it would automatically connect when we arrived to our room but tar didn’t happen."
