"On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really. "

"Could be outstanding but the kitchen lets them down. The location, hotel and staff are wonderful but the food is where the shine falls off. Decent menu but most of the food was bland, lacking taste or overly greasy (fish). Breakfast was wrong both mornings (even with simple request), kitchen needs to read the orders properly.. At the two dinners, both night people on tables around us were commenting on their food.. (which is such a shame for a lovely hotel..."

Rooms are dark, low ceilings, out-updated furniture, etc. All in all, the hotel is good enough, though one may not think of it as a spa like experience, especially when considering that this is one of the attractions/ amenities that they are offering & advertising."

"We loved our three nights at Ellenborough Park. What a gorgeous property. The room we had was number 40! Looked like a bridal suite!. The food was fabulous and great bar. The spa was excellent. Kevin is a great manager! Max, Charlie, Bernadette and all the other waiters were fabulous! The Sunday lunch was great! We will definitely be back for another visit!"

"Very old building, yet very charming. Many small sitting areas to read and to relax and they are really very cute. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The staff are very helpful. A great experience for me. "

"Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. It is easy to find and staff were very nice. There is very little parking so keep in mind you have to park a few minutes away but can unload in front of hotel. We used the Waterloo lot! It was $10 a day. We didn’t do breakfast because it was $35 L but there is a nice coffee shop next door!"

"I cannot say enough about how magical this place is! Perfectly situated for day trips throughout the Cotswolds. The definition of quaint and charming cottage in the English countryside. We had dinner and breakfast every day and the food is amazing!! "

"First room over looked aircon units and smelt damp so changed rooms. Asked for firmer pillows and was offered bath towels instead. Finally got it right. Breakfast was great. Good choice and hot. Toaster as always one side brown the other near burnt. Bar staff excellent, fast service and friendly. The main dining room is another story. Asked if they had a table as we hadn't booked and was left waiting for 10 minutes. Left with no response so pretty poor. Ordered room service but so far down the...
