"Mold has taken over the cottage and now everything we took on the trip smells like mildew. I may have to buy replacement suitcases. My cpap machine filter turned black from 4 nights use in that place. I can only imagine what is in my lungs from breathing the air during my stay. We had to keep windows open at all times that we were inside; to keep the moldy smell from making us sick. The antiques are nice to look at but not comfortable to use. "We stayed at Bere Cottage when taking my son to university in Canterbury. It is a quaint, very old cottage, and although charming it could do with a bit of TLC - I felt the carpets needed a deep clean, ditto the front door, which would also benefit from a lick of paint, the carpet on the stairs needed replacing, but overall the kitchen and bathroom were clean, the sofas and beds very comfortable and the location perfect, with a good pub just a minute away.
