"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. "This was a very nicely presented house. Comfortable beds lovely living room nice garden. However, on our arrival we noticed the thermostat was broken and the heat was stuck on constant. None of the radiators have individual dials to control the heat and the house runs on an old-fashioned immersion heater. We were very cold and uncomfortable for the first night. We contacted the host who knew very little about the house but arranged for an engineer to visit the following. who knew very little...

"It was basic but it has everything we needed for the trip. We went to see family and celebrate my in-law birthday at the Canterburry bell last September 19th. It was a great celebration abd we are considering going back with the kids for the Christmas holidays."

"I loved my stay at The Beetroot. Michael was really helpful, and lovely to meet; he also gave me an early check-in which was great. Sam who was doing work around the car park was also really nice and really helpful. The room itself was perfect - comfortable bed, great selection of teas and I loved the decor of the bathroom. The location was perfect, too - so close walking distance to everything: restaurants, cafes, the beach, and all the tourist attractions. I only wish I could have stayed longer but I didn't have time in my itinerary. I will have to come back, would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone."

"Our room had a few issues when we arrived. It was cold, the water didn't drain away very well and the tv handset couldn't adjust the volume on the set, which was too high. Within 15 mins of reporting these issues, they had replaced the handset, cleared the sink and brought up a small radiator (and explained how the thermostat worked) The room was was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was good with plenty of options. Would definitely stay there again"

"As an averagely priced room.. this is pretty great. For what we paid we got a massive room, big bed, nice bathroom and would have had breakfast included (we had other stuff to get to so couldn't indulge). The staff were helpful and getting in/getting settled was easy. It's attached to a pretty nice pub too, which is always a bonus. Slight negatives are: parking isn't free, the charge to borrow a travel cot was silly £15 for the night, I think) and the shower was a little run down (seal around the door going etc).. also the TV wasn't actually tuned to anything or connected to the WiFi to cast a phone. Relatively minor quibbles given what we paid and what we needed the room for. Would definitely recommend!"
