"We booked 3 nights at the Pegwell and I would say it’s the best hotel in Ramsgate. From getting a nice early check in, to the delicious breakfast every thing was spot on. The walk into Ramsgate is around 40 minutes and is lovely, we found the location perfect, and very quiet. Highly recommend the hotel and Ramsgate for a weekend break."

"Great place for a night stay when visiting family nearby. Room was a bit tired and in need of some love, but functional enough. Rooms at the back of the building have noise due to ventilation / fans but weren’t a problem for us. Air con was amazing!"

"We loved our stay in the self catered 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean, spacious and generally very comfortable. We massively enjoyed our breakfasts, drinks and nibbles on the awesome private terrace. The only feedback I would have is that the kitchen equipment is rather bare. I would recommend the general manager stays, cooks and eats here for a few days and then buys what they discovers is missing in the kitchen. Doing so could hugely elevate the home away from home feeling. Other than that,...

"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"Property and stay was good - we had travelled over 6 hours and it was boiling hot - our air con was not working. I reported it and was told that someone would sort it out but nobody came."

"The room was the size of a shoe box and the bathroom was tiny. I had to shimmy into the shower sideways. Yes it was clean and in a wonderful spot over the beach/great location for cruise terminal. I would not stay there again."

"It’s a proper old fashioned seaside hotel. Plenty of places to sit and chat and eat and drink. Friendly staff. The hotel is quite old so do not have plugs by the bed so if you need that for charging phones (or cpap machines) then bring an extension cord 😊 I was a solo traveller with a dog and people could not have been nicer. I can’t wait to return 👏"

"Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."

"My second stay here and the experience both times has been very similar. It is a stunning building in beautiful grounds. Some of the staff are really nice but some really couldn't care less. On this trip the gentleman on breakfast just barked "room number" when I approached. He didn't offer me any tea or coffee either - although I heard him offer someone else some.
