"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. "Sanjeewa was very accommodating and friendly a wonderful host. This is a very basic hotel but you cannot fault it, clean and has everything you need, a great option for an affordable city break. "This hotel location is great, only a short 10 minute walk into Canterbury, and access main roads easily. The breakfasts are very good, fresh and with a wide choice to pick at. The restaurant is well set out, comfortable and very appealing. The menu has a good choice of meals, not too extensive, making choosing easier, and a brilliant dessert list, 😋 We ate here both nights and no complaints what so ever about any of it. 👌 Good bar, nice choice of drinks with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are very clean and tidy, with all you need, and tea facilities. All the staff were brilliant, polite, helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much for them. Good sized car park at the rear. Would recommend the Victoria and look forward to returning there."

"Hotel was in a lovely setting right on the river.It did have bad reviews but dont take any notice of them .The room was spotless and well equipped and overlooked the river .We had dinner there and food was good the only slight issue is the menu which should have a few more normal dishes but apart from that it was good as was the breakfast served looking out at the river.Parking was no problem loads of room.We will be going back later this year."
