"The hotel was definitely a 4 star, the rooms were as stated ++, We did not want a car because of the high fee to park and I was told that if we needed short dist, trans, that it was complimentary + tip of course, 290 rooms 1 vehicle, that did not work! Very poor communication on this between the front desk, concierge and the valet. We ended up walking a lot and I have a back issue. The food and service were great and reasonable priced. The views were spectacular. The weather was cold, 60 ish,...

"The Staff is excellent. The breakfast was limited but of good quality. My main issue was the bathroom situation. It might be fine in a suite, but the king bedroom situation was substandard. The house is lovely and I expect that this B & B is pretty much what you should expect in terms of price in Pacific Grove. It is an expensive area of CA and things cost more. "

"The location and staff were fantastic. The room itself smelled heavily of carpet glue and the AC was so loud we couldn't use it. The sheets were clean but tattered to the point of the stuffing poking out of our comforters. The rod from our blinds kept slipping out nearly skewering the person by the door. The shower was awesome though with great water pressure and the hotel's shower products were nice, as well."

"It felt like you’re sleeping on the street because of all the vehicles passing and you would hear the noise from the room upstairs specially when kids are running. Taking the elevator going to the 2nd floor is a bit hard specially when you have lots of baggages. When you get off the elevator, you need to go downstairs to get to the courtyard then upstairs again to get to the room."

"Everything was amazingly clean. The staff was above and beyond helpful and nice. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff. Location was also perfect. Bed was super comfortable. Parking was great also"

"No frills motel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pleasant small pool area in a sunny spot. Can walk in 20/25 mins to Fishermans wharf and downtown. Free parking and coffee in reception area. Good price for Monterey"

"Easy check in. Great staff. I stayed in the “Thomas” which was exactly as billed. Clean and quiet (except for the 4 AM seagull squabbles!). Water pressure in shower as expected for an older BNB. Early outings so only had breakfast there once. Lots of choices and well prepared. Yummy cookies later in the day! Excellent location. Able to walk everywhere. Super safe. Easy parking. Found out when I was leaving they have bikes one can sign out/use. Would take advantage of that next time....
