"This is one of our first choices to stay in Monterey Bay. Always a great time and we look forward to returning again and again. Location is perfect for wildlife viewing (nesting cormorants, pigeon guillemots, pelicans, otters, sea lions, gulls, etc) and close access to water sports such as scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The complimentary, delivered to room, breakfast was nice for those of us who just want to take in all the beauty outside our bay view balcony. (Even as I write this I want to be there.) Staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend."

"Beautiful property. Very convenient location. Walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf, Cannery Row, and downtown. Staff was helpful and kind. Room was clean and cozy but there was no AC and the walls are thin. The room was a little run down but still well maintained and clean. I would still stay here again."

"As a new property, there’s no need to deal with aging infrastructure. The noise from the outside world is effectively muted. The noise from the crying baby next door, a little less so. The property is pet friendly. As a dog love this makes me happy. If you are allergic or want to avoid dog hair on your clothes, just be aware. There was a power outage when we arrived at check in time. We were delayed getting into our rooms and the staff were largely busy scrambling to manage without their computer systems etc. we were not offered any light compensation as a result of the delays getting settled in so perhaps that can be added to the Kimpton hospitality playbook. Despite the added stress, the staff were friendly and as accommodating as they could be. The location is convenient to everything and having the valet service added to the compulsory resort fees means you have easy access to Monterey and Carmel as well."
