Since arriving at the Legian Beach Hotel on 20th June, the staff have been nothing short of amazing. Always friendly, always ready with a hello and a smile. By far and away the staff are what make Legian Beach Hotel amazing, with the location and grounds coming a very close second.
Special mentions goto Erni, Tiari, Gusti, Made (the driver :-)), Dewi and TJ at the Ole Bar, Whayan - the Sous Chef for teaching me how to cook Indonesian style, and every other member of staff who although did not play a direct part in our holiday, we're always there with smiles and hellos, and working diligently to provide a superb holiday experience.
The grounds - what can I say except simply beautiful, tranquil and serene, and in keeping with traditional Balinese atmosphere.
The fish ponds, the gazebos, the pools and the restaurants, all set in such a way to provide a simply stunning environment in which to truly unwind and relax.
Set a stones throw..and I mean a stones throw, from the beach, the hotel provided an Excellent base from which to undertake each days activities. If you like loud and wild...a 5 minute walk will put you in he centre of Legians night life. If you prefer calm and serene, the grounds are surrounded by walls, and as soon as you enter, the bustle from the outside world dissipates, and becomes thing of memory, the gates do feel like a time warp to another world and time. Slow paced and relaxing.
