"Great hotel. Our room was river view with lovely view of the Minster too. Breakfast loads of choice. Baggage store if needed. Central location. Easy walk to station and all city attractions."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Son booked his room as he's staff from another Marriott, his Superior room was clean and everything was as expected. Just one small minor issue a couple of loose boards on the balcony - didnt distract the view of the Racecourse. My daughter & i got a free unexpected upgrade to a family room which was huge for just the two of us. Breakfast was fitting for a Marriot, son won't comment as he's a chef, service and staff were excellent. The only thing i didnt like and the Marriott cant do too much...
