"I had a fantastic stay at The Apple House. The hosts and staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful with anything I needed. In particular, as I have celiac disease, it can sometimes be hard finding places willing or able to accommodate for a gluten-free diet. Not so with The Apple House folks, who made sure to make me a wonderful gluten-free breakfast each morning which was delicious, filling and didn’t leave me with any problems later on. "Lovely hotel, great reception and room service staff. Friendly and very helpful. We had a king size courtyard room which was clean and had a fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Parking available at hotel but limited or car park at the Mount School which always had spaces. The walk into York took about 25 minutes. Only small criticism was the bar ran out of drinks including sauvignon white wine. Other than that...
