"Great 2 night stay, slight issue with Expedia which Tony sorted out for us swiftly, great service and a fantastic room, luxurious pillows and bedding/mattress so slept so well and didn’t hear any outside noise. "Staff friendly and efficient, despite having a large but very well behaved french school party. My double room was "cozy" and would have been a squeeze for two people with 18 in bed/wall clearance one side and 30 in bed/sloping wall the other. Ok for single occupation. Access to the room was a maze."

"The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!"

"This was a very cute bed and breakfast and the host was beyond helpful. I really can't say enough good things about him! We unfortunately were not able to have breakfast as they don't start serving until 9 and we needed to be on our way for the day by 9 :) The room was clean, although the bathroom could have been cleaner. "Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "
