"Suite 1 was absolutely beautiful! "

"We stayed in the Bootham suite, the room was light and airy and had a lovely small balcony to enjoy the sunshine. The four poster bed was very comfy and there was a small seating area to relax in. Breakfast was very good, everything is a la carte and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is in a great location, very easy walking distance into York but also very quiet and peaceful. The Pantry is a really nice touch but it was a shame that there wasn't a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool....

"The room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The only issue I experienced was that the water in the bathroom was too hot and there was no way to make it cooler. Apart from this, everything was good."

"They say to never judge a book by its cover and this also holds true for some hotels. Dean Court looked nothing if not stately in the pics and our expectations were high as we arrived in York. The good news, the location is great - close to the most wonderful shopping. Valet parking was also a treat. That said, the hotel itself feels like a lower-end motel masking inside a wonderful exterior. The first room we were shown had no windows and there are, apparantly, four of those rooms. We were...

"We enjoyed an excellent overnight stay at the B+B York. Helpful, cheerful staff and a breakfast to savour. The city centre was a 10 minute stroll away. Parking on the premises was a bonus Absolutely no complaints,"

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Wonderful old property. Breakfast was great. The hotel has beautiful features. The staircase inside is gorgeous. Lots of stairs so be prepared. The bar is fun and food good. Can’t beat the location if coming by train. Town is at your door, easily one of the most walkable location. Friendly welcoming staff."

Every member we met wasn't just attentive but seemed genuinely concerned with making our stay as pleasant and trouble free as possible. "The ibis hotel in York was in a good location, within walking distance to everything. The hotel was very quiet and the rooms were nicely updated and well kept. The staff at the front desk were great and very helpful. I didn't us the breakfast so cannot comment on that. "

"What a great place to stay. We highly recommend it! Breakfast was excellent. Christina, our breakfast waitress was outstanding. Lots of breakfast choices. The breakfast room was very nice and the table in the window bay was special. Our room was spacious, and the kitchen amenities were complete. There was a small table where we could sit looking on the back garden. The bathroom was also spacious and well done. The decor in the condition of everything was amazing given the age of the building....
