"Super clean hotel. Pretty centralize in midtown without dealing with the loud tourist hotels in time square. One of the quietest i've ever been in. Rooms are a little small but most hotels in midtown the rooms are small versus other hotels in smaller cities across the states. would definitely stay again. "

"We brought our 11 year old daughter to NYC to see Aladdin. The LUMA was about a block away and I had read all the great reviews so I booked it. If you're on the fence, just book it and here is why ... They are about a half a block from Bryant Park, and a few blocks from Times Square right in the heart of Broadway. Just close enough to all the fun stuff but not STUCK in the middle of it. The nice thing is they are on a street not as busy so the noise is reduced. I had read lots of reviews...

The downside was the lobby was filled with people so there was nowhere for us to sit inside. It seemed like a lot of college students using their laptops and not hotel guests. "First time at Pestana but not the last one. My new favorite in New York. Very reasonable price. Room was neat, bed was comfortable. Surprisingly the room and bathroom were very spacious. My room was on a higher floor. Times Square is literally around the corner. Easy to reach transportation or to get a Lyft/Uber. Hotel staff very nice, they acknowledged me every time. Kudos to Victor, his friendliness at check-in made everything smooth. "

However, the owners might want to upgrade the levalor blinds to higher-quality ones, preferably with blackout options like those found in most hotels. Additionally, you are not insulated from the crashing noises of other guests and service staff crashing around outside your room. The elevators felt a bit slow, and we weren't particularly impressed with the hotel food. Luckily, there are many tasty options nearby. "
