"The Dakota was a perfect end to a vacation as it was close to the airport and yet in a quiet seemingly rural location. They had a delicious onsite restaurant and helpful, friendly staff. There was a clean and well fitted gym for exercise. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Thanks for the stay."

"Beds were very small and hard with a lot of wear to the headboards. Did not sleep well. Upgraded to balcony room, but nowhere to sit, so wad not useful. Food was great for dinner and just marginal for breakfast. Staff was very kind. Decent property, but definitely not luxury and not worth the price."

"This hotel was okay, not great. First of all, there is NO lift/ elevator and there are lots of stairs - good to know in advance. The breakfast was not great - below average. This hotel caters for coach/ bus tours rather than individual travellers. The original room we were put in was not well kept and the replacement room was better but still not great. I would say this is hotel is distinctly average with room for improvement. Not sure that I would stay there again, and we go to Edinburgh nearly...

"The breakfast was the highlight of our stay! Absolutely fantastic! Choices, taste, and presentation were great. As for the property, the lobby is beautiful. "I had a very enjoyable stay at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and would highly recommend it.
A special thank you to Zack at the front desk, who was excellent. I had accidentally picked the wrong room, and Zack went out of his way to help move us to a better fit. He also assisted with our bags and kindly left a nice note, which was genuinely appreciated. That kind of thoughtful service makes a big difference.
