Really enjoyed our stay, bed was comfy and it was exactly what we needed for a night in Oban before getting the ferry. Loved that we were able to come and go as we pleased.

Convenient and comfortable

Stayed for a night. Friendly staff. It's an older building but still in good condition. Rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need. Shared bathroom was very clean. Convenient parking lot next door.

Clean and comfortable

I just arrived in the evening and left early the following morning, but the bedroom was a good size, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The en suite facilities were good too. I would definitely stay there again.

PS Waverley trip

Prime reason for trip was to Cruise on the paddle Steamer Waverley 3 trips. Danarle guest house was ideal for this as only 5 minute walk to North pier and 10 mins to railway pier and station Guest house was extremely clean an comfortable

We had one night's stay in a family room on the ground floor including an en-suite. We met Joyce on arrival who was lovely. The room was perfect for us, very clean indeed & all had a good night's sleep. Great location situated at the northern end of town, would definitely stay here again.

Decent room, helpful hosts.

The guest house was comfortable and suited us well. It is a short walk into town, so location was good. Breakfast was good - select your cooked options and buffet of cereals/toast etc. Parking in Oban is clearly difficult. You could park in the car park right next to the hostel, although you have to pay £9 a day.

Oban is a lovely wee town and is very busy. I think that guesthouses and hoteliers take advantage of this and charge way over the top. £95 for a room with no en-suite and very basic facilities. The kettle didn’t work in the room. If it’s just a room to get your head down I’d recommend this place. It’s clean and the shared shower room is as clean as the other guests leave it behind them.

The rooms were clean but small, the beds were ok for comfort. The location was great. We were a bit disappointed with our stay .. from pictures when booking I seen a sink .. assumption was that we did indeed have an ensuite with our bedroom ... in actual fact all 8 rooms had SHARED BATHROOMS... just so that the next guests are prepared as that isn't as clear as it should be on the website. We were on the 3rd floor and it was quite a climb to the top for seniors so again .. just so people are aware of this. The third floor shared bathroom had the toilet with the shower .. the second floor bathroom was seperated. There were wait times to use the bathroom especially since the shower was a slow drizzle it took quite awhile to complete. I wouldnt recommend thus stay for seniors.
