A busy friendly pub hotel that made us feel very welcome. Very clean, very large comfy bed. A quiet large warm room and clean bathroom. Staff were friendly and obliging and breakfast delicious. Loved the fact a table at dinner was reserved even without asking and then you could choose not to take it. We did and the menu was varied in a dining room that took good COVID precautions. We enjoyed our dinner. Really great value for money and would definitely recommend.
A lovely old Inn which had been tastefully upgraded in the bar and restaurant. The room was tired, with a blocked bath/shower drain and dirty radiator though the decor was good. Obscured glass in the windows didnt help. Food was adequate but clearly corners were being cut which affected the quality.

Location next to Loch Long and convenient for exploring the area
Great location over looking the loch. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. Both breakfast and our evening meal were so enjoyable.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We stayed for 3 nights last week at the Village Inn and the quality of the room was not worth the money charged.
I'm guessing that the extra cost is because we had a loch view room rather than any extra facilities and comfort it provided.
Staff were friendly, limited parking and the food ok.
No USB ports and the only plug sockets we could find required us to unplug the kettle or TV first. I would expect hotels to provide more sockets as standard and ideally place then at a convenient height for people to use.
Brilliant setting. Room with a lovely view. Great beer garden (one of the very best). Fantastic staff. Enjoyed the food. Good Covid measures. Would have liked a few more cask beers on.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Our evening meal was great. Staff were nice and friendly.
There was no toilet paper in our room, just 2 empty ones. Quite a lot of cobwebs everywhere. There seemed to be quite a bit of disorganisation - our room had just had part of the wall replastered just before we arrived, causing our dog to get plaster paste all over him.

Everything abour The Village Inn was good.We had been there for an overnight stay before, and found it to be an enjoyable break.Staff are very pleasant and the place itself is probably the best in Arrochar.I would recomend this to friends and family.Just one problem we came across, why no IPA's.We had to settle for a bland ale instead.

Hotel is rather cashing in on its location.
Rooms in the annex at the rear have little or no view of the Loch. Our viewers were either "bins" or "gas tanks." Cobwebs behind beds. Part of drink order was dropped at dinner. Breakfast was incorrect (traditional instead of full Scottish) and quality of coffee (ordered) was not up to par, and the coffee order was also messed up (we ordered white, but got black). Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, dinner was delicious. Pub/restaurant is charming. Views of the Loch are stunning. However, the price charged demands more attention to detail.

Good location but v expensive!! Small noisy room. ......................
Attractive inn right on Loch Long. Traditional look, nice staff. Room was exceptional. Large comfy bed, view over the loch. Small en-suite but perfect for our one night stay. Wish it could have been a bit longer. Meal in the restaurant was excellent. It was busy but not noisy. Really made you feel we’re now in Scotland.
