"Good quiet location . A nice pub/restaurant with rooms which were clean. Comfy bedding and beautiful luxurious towels. We ate both evenings in the restaurant , food was good and reasonably priced. A good location for a short stay at 20 mins from the airport"

"This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. It’s so beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The food at Abacus was delicious and the staff there were also very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the Scott."

"The staff are fantastic and breakfast was yummy! The room is TINY with absolutely nowhere to put anything. The bathroom is so small that even a small person barely has enough room to move. It would be impossible for anyone with mobility challenges to use the bathroom."

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

"Lovely restored house in a neighborhood (more like a B&B). There is a bus that runs into Edinburgh proper or you can take the mile walk. The hotel gives very good recommendations for local dining. Parking can be difficult (limited on-street parking for non-residents). No eating in the rooms."

"Fake tan stains were in the bath from previous guest. Hot water took almost 10mins to come on. Outdoor had a few broken planters and weeds coming through the floor. Kitchen was closed for maintenance so there was no food options until breakfast the next day. I could hear people going in and out their rooms until about 2am and then starting again at 6am. I have stayed previously and was impressed but this time just felt like lack of care was given."

"Delightful setting. The hotel is set back from the street with surrounding gardens. Very quiet. Very well run. Staff are true professionals, eager to help with any questions or problems. Pleasant room, although a little small, but spotlessly clean. Reasonable rates. Good value!"
