Norton Park Hotel, Spa & Manor House

Norton Park Hotel, Spa & Manor House

8/10 Good
"The room appeared clean but unfortunately there was a used tissue on the window sill. Unfortunately, although the bathroom seemed ok when we first walked in, the shower unit was not good at all. There was mould on the grouting and the shower door seals were encrusted with limescale. The whole thing was unappealing. The restaurant delivered food of a good quality - well done to the chef for cooking scallops beautifully. The staff appeared to be inexperienced with one or two exceptions - they were competent and helpful but needed prompting to provide items such as a steak knife etc. Also given mustard that needed its seal removing - small things that added up. Overall, a nice stay but a multitude of small things meant it could have been better."

Village Hotel Southampton Eastleigh

Village Hotel Southampton Eastleigh

8/10 Good
"Stayed here one night before a cruise out of Southampton. A wonderful big hotel with Starbucks on site and a large pool and hot tub along with steam rooms, ice plunge and sauna. I only use the pool in the hot tub, but there were lots of people using the rest of the amenities. Room was small but very comfortable. Bathroom has a glass door, which was fine for me because I had my own room. I donโ€™t think I would be as comfortable if I were sharing with friends . There would be no privacy unless the other person left the room. Other friends, I was traveling with suggested bringing a cheap shower curtain to throw over the door and that would solve all the issues a . My only real issue was that the restaurant was out of things that I wanted to order for dinner. In the end, the food was not that great. Otherwise, you canโ€™t go wrong with this hotel. I would definitely stay here again, but I would have food delivered."

Holiday Inn Express Southampton - West by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Southampton - West by IHG

8/10 Good
"We enjoyed a comfortable, no-frills, two night stay that I couldn't fault. The breakfast was tasty and there was an ok election considering it is a Holiday Inn Express so doesn't have the full options available. There was plenty of parking which was free. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit expensive for what it is. This could be reflective of the area and that fact that it's close to Paultons Park. It's on an industrial estate off a main road so don't expect lovely views out of your window. It's perfect if you need somewhere to stay for a night or two whist visiting the area though."

"Enjoyed our stay and fitted our needs perfectly. A calm environment and area although we were disturbed a little by the traffic on the first night but didnโ€™t notice on the following nights. As others have said a little dated in some ways and I used a chair next to the bed to charge my devices etc as no bedside table. Will go back."
