Staff were fantastic - really lovely and friendly. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was quite minimal. The room was very oppressive. Only window was in the bathroom. Bed was soft but definitely needs firmer pillows. No safe in room. No vending machines - nightmare when you are fancying a bit of chocolate! Very much a guys hotel with all the sports. Sorry Village - I wouldn't choose your hotel again - it's just not for me.

Very small room that reminded me of an inside ships cabin. Small window in bathroom that you couldnt see out of. Noisy corridor all through the night. Foyer reminded me of an airport. Very open, busy and no structure. Automated check in so no personal touch to ask about rooms etc.... if all village hotels are like this, then they are not for my generation
