"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay near the main Gion district in Kyoto."

"I made the right choice to stay here. One of the best experience I had in Kyoto, I wished I booked more than a night. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, they gave me a 5 star service. The room, actually it was more of a suite, was clean. I felt like I was in a different world when I was there because of the set up/ambiance. They also have a great location, just right beside the shrine. Just don’t bring heavy luggage because of the stairs, I felt bad that they carried my heavy luggage...

"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

"Beautiful, clean and spacious room with all amenities you need and the iron/iron board in the room. Great comfy bed and pillows. Very friendly staff with daily housekeeping service. Nice breakfast, restaurant on the pricier side but the bar has an amazing views, good beer, sake and they make nice negronis. Would def recommend and stay again. "

"Great hotel! Rooms were clean and beds were sooooo comfortable. Location is near many stations (shijo-Gion to the south and Sanjo to the north). Close to the river and other historic neighbourhoods. Honestly an ideal home base for your Kyoto adventure. Staff is attentive and friendly and the hotel and area are quiet. We didn’t opt for the Japanese style breakfast but we saw them in the morning and they looked good."

"We had such a great stay! The hotel was located off the main streets for shopping and within walking distance of bus stops and the subway - so convenient! We loved every aspect of the stay. A beautiful lounge area in the lobby, clean rooms, and helpful service."

"This was probably the nicest Hilton I've stayed in. The room was great, clean, modern, total black-out, well appointed. The restaurant options were great. We tried the rooftop, it was fine but the views weren't great. Definitely recommend it. "
