"This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. "

"Highly recommend this place to stay in Kyoto, so close to Gion, wonderful restaurants, and transport. The accommodation is so spacious, well equipped, clean and has a wonderful feel with an amazing wooden bath. Special thanks to Yui who works the front desk and the Cafe. She was wonderful, so friendly, helpful and welcoming to us. It's an amazing place and we would definitely return next time. "

"Our stay at the hotel Gion Misen in Kyoto was fantastic. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the Train Station, making it easy to explore Kyoto and beyond. Our room was very clean. We also appreciated the variety of great dining options available right within the hotel. The hotel is only a few step away from a beautiful river. The staff were polite, professional, and always ready to help. Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable stay—we hope to return again soon!"

We had a club premium room which was a good size, great amenities, a super comfy bed and the most quiet air con and great black out blinds. The club lounge was good, a nice breakfast and cocktail time. Good, friendly service. We really enjoyed the hotel, only let down for us was the roof top bar. "This stay was absolutely wonderful, and the host was extremely attentive and understanding. The entire house is very well kept, and everything is in great condition. The bedroom and linens were very comfortable, and the large window in the room let's you wake up to a nice natural light (or block it out entirely if that's your thing).
