"This would be the second time we booked with Onyado Nono. We knew that if we ever go back to Kyoto, and availability permits, we would always book here. Love the amenity, the staff, and the overall experience they provide. We mostly book here cause of the onsen and the tatami inspired facility. Its a walking distance to Kyoto station as well."

"Breakfast bento was meh. Not worth the price. Go find breakfast elsewhere for your ¥4000 ($25). That is the price of two Michelin guide ramen. And the price of two breakfasts is ¥8000. Not even close. Don’t buy. There is a beautiful lounge which is exclusive and unavailable to hotel guests. I find this maddening and unnecessary. If you pay the exorbitant amount for breakfast, there is no good place to eat on a hot day. The rooftop terrace is beautiful but on your average Japanese summer morning it will be too hot to enjoy without being very sweaty. The staff is helpful. But their systems are clunky and if you booked online breakfast through an aggregator (Expedia). I hope you took a screenshot because, you may have gotten scammed. I thought I prepaid breakfast at least one night. But they still collect it at hotel. And Expedia does not show breakfast as a yes no on confirmation. Just don’t do the breakfast. When trying to confirm breakfast the second night via chat, I asked if it would be ready in the morning before we depart, they said yes, I never explicitly confirmed that we wanted breakfast on the second night of our stay. The second day I went to pick up breakfast, no breakfast. That’s OK money saved. The onsen is very nice. Beautiful. The staff is helpful, but they are also training many new employees and deal with lots of tourists. So this property lacks true Japanese hospitality. The amenities are beautiful. But this hotel is western. Odd but good"
