Nice stay! We would return.

Although the hotel is off Quinta Avenida, the property is a bit away from all the hustle and noise of the Quinta Avenida. If you’re looking for quiet, comfortable and very clean accommodations, this is the hotel for you. We enjoyed the partial ocean view from our balcony. Housekeeping and s excellent. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

When you first arrive you may be put off by the area because it’s not near the tourist spots but not to worry. The hotel is in the real neighborhood of playa with a relaxing quiet vibe and warm people You’ll love it!

We had a very comfortable stay at Suites Cielo y Mar. The locations is nice, only 5 min. walk to a quieter more local beach of Playa del Carmen. Yet at walking distance 20 min. from the busy center and bars and restaurants. Personnel very friendly and helpful. Thanks and we come back!

The hotel is great. Beautiful pool with views!! Wonderful staff. Decent (very basic) continental breakfast. It's near enough to the ocean, so the humidity never leaves the air. 100% would recommend and will be returning!

A very cute, clean, and safe hotel. For the price it was a great value. Breakfast was good. Service was good. It is a bit far away from the main drag.. we spent a lot of time walking. The area around this hotel isnt the best and the wall back after dinner can be not well lit. We felt that it wouldnt be very safe to walk to late at night. Our sleep quality here was not the greatest. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows quite flat. There were also dogs barking all night and one night somebody from the hotel (staff maybe?) Was honking their car horn over and over in the courtyard. Overall a nice place to stay if you just need a cheap room and dont mind a bit of a walk to get to things. Pack earplugs.

Our stay at Suites Cielo y Mar was wonderful! We were on the 4th floor in a great huge apartment, with a sea view, a beautiful flower on the shelf and a large balcony and 2 bathrooms! Nevertheless there was a shortage of the staff in the moment of our stay, our room was cleaned every day. In addition, we were able to enjoy the top roof pool and to use the parking inside of the yard. Moreover, there is a really nice chill area just next to the cafeteria where every morning we were enjoying the breakfast which is not very rich, but you are not charged about it and there are fresh fruits, tea, coffee, bread cheese butter, toaster and so on.Something that I really enjoy is that the owners take an eye for almost every single detail, the plates in the cafeteria are from metal, but are very nice. You have also the possibility to take rent a bike from the place. Just in front of the Cielo y Mar is the main street,but you are in quite area. If you continue to the right you can reach the city center in 15-20 mins. walk. As a conclusion, we do recommend this place and encourage the owners to continue doing their job, because from our perspective this is the sustainable way of doing a good business at a competitive price!
