"Room was clean , has a kitchen with refrigerator, the only thing we were dissatisfied with was no AC they had 2 standing fans and a ceiling fan but being summer it was really hot and hard to sleep .. Staff was very friendly and of course itโs an older property but for the price it was good ."

"Mahana House is a gorgeous space where seemingly everything has been thought about and tended to. The hosts are kind, gracious, and welcoming. They're as available as you need them to be, and when my mom and I were caught in a tropical storm and literally not even sure we'd make it to the inn, they were continuously available and responsible, without having electricity themselves. This is a truly beautiful, special place, and I hope to go back!"

"Nice old plantation style house with a beautiful yard and view of Hilo. Staff was nice and helpful, even tho I arrived a day and a half late. Very peaceful place to stay, with birds chirping in the morning and coqui frogs croaking at night."
