"This was a perfect place to stay. The host couple are incredibly kind and caring. You can tell they truly put their heart into taking care of the whole property. The room was very clean and spacious. Everything was well prepared — TV, microwave, coffee, towels, extra blankets — all thoughtfully provided. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Occasionally, their rescued little cats would stop by to say hello, which made the stay even more special. This is definitely a place I would come...

"Fully equiped kitchen, clean & good sized. Hamoock on the balcony was great to enjoy the sounds of the frogs & waves crashing in the distance. Great spot for my needs. Easy acess to the National Park without dealing with city traffic."

"A peaceful property at the very top of the hill, room 3 overlooked Hilo and the ocean to the east. So waking up and seeing it was perfect. Loved it all."

"Room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Central location was convenient to bus station and farmers market. It did get a bit noisy at times with the close proximity to downtown, but the mynas were the loudest things around. Contactless checkin was smooth and easy. Unfortunately we did not get to eat at Paul's, but it looked delicious. Maybe next time. "

"Aaron's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay! Having a private room, but access to the gardens, a shared kitchen, and living spaces was incredibly lovely. They had everything you needed, even some complimentary snacks and water. Thank you Aaron's....I'll be back!"

"Located in the center of Hilo 5-15 minutes away from everything, 45 minutes from Kilauea lookout. The building is older and the lower floors are private businesses but you basically only go to the elevator and the coffee shop. The unit was nice, recently renovated everything kitchen to bathroom. The downfall was the A/C in one of the rooms just broke down and a part needed to be ordered but other than that unit was clean, nice, and enjoyable. Useful kitchen appliances if you were thinking of...

"Super fun hostel in the heart of Hilo. They offer a daily activity so don't book any excursions until you see what they have to offer. The staff was great! Shoutout to Colette, Rose, and the tour guide who took us up to Mauna Kea for the sunset (sorry "J" I am AWFUL with names but thank you for a great tour!).
