"What a great hotel, I booked this as a surprise for my wife’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint. It’s such a unique hotel in a great setting, the way the hotel has kept the features of the prison whilst making it a luxury hotel is brilliant. We stayed in the main prison part of the hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We had dinner at the restaurant as well and the food was lovely. All staff were so helpful and friendly. Great location for shopping and to explore beautiful Oxford. "

"Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style and one of the nicest buffet breakfasts we have had, with a very good range of options. We also used the pool, poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There are towels in the

area for you to use and shampoo, conditioner and shower wash in the changing room showers. There are also lockers which you use a PIN code to lock, so no change needed. We walked into Oxford along the Thames river path and...

"The staff was helpful, and responded rapidly to requests. There was no lift, but staff helped carry luggage up the stairs. The AC was not truly adjustable, but the windows opened; the room was hot when we arrived. There was a tub/shower combo, and the tub was very welcome. The room was spacious, and the beds comfortable. The immediate are was a bit run-down, but a close-by pub had good food."

"Lovely location with super helpful and friendly front desk and restaurant staff! The breakfast was deluxe! The room was nice, but next time we will request an upper floor-we were on the ground floor next to the outdoor dining area and therefore could not open the windows for air and keep our privacy as our windows opened to the tables in the dining area or the street and people could literally look over straight into our room. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would stay there again. "
