"For a first time stay, our family was very impressed with hotel rooms. Pretty comfortable and quiet, you do not hear neighboring hotel rooms. Not far from cannery row and the aquarium, definitely recommend. "

"We spent four fabulously comfortable and decadent four nights at The Charles in Pacific Grove. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a nod to the age of the building (1904). Historic photographs of Pacific Grove line the hallways. The lounge is comfortable and the late afternoon wine and snacks added to the conviviality. Breakfasts were varied and fresh. The breads and quiche were yummy. The beds are soft, the sheets cotton, and at night you can hear the faint crash of the waves on the shore....
