"We spent four fabulously comfortable and decadent four nights at The Charles in Pacific Grove. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a nod to the age of the building (1904). Historic photographs of Pacific Grove line the hallways. The lounge is comfortable and the late afternoon wine and snacks added to the conviviality. Breakfasts were varied and fresh. The breads and quiche were yummy. The beds are soft, the sheets cotton, and at night you can hear the faint crash of the waves on the shore....

"Spotless room. The furniture in the rooms and common areas is keeping with the vintage feel. The fireplace in the room was a very special touch. Wonderful wine/cheese every evening and excellent morning breakfast. They really go out of their way to make it nice and welcoming and serve their guests. It's less than a 2 block walk to the Cannery Row shops. I loved that we could park in the garage underground.
