"Everything was good with the hotel it just not much to do quite, we had to cross the bridge to the other side of penang which it around 20 minutes and 20 min to go back with no traffic"

"This is a lovely heritage-style hotel in the middle of Chulia St. While it's close to all the action, it's also an oasis of calm inside. The pool is small but nice to have (and rare for a heritage hotel). We spent three nights here and on arrival were told that the original room we were booked had been overbooked, but comms via Expedia hadn't come through in advance, so we were downgraded to a Courtyard room, which turned out to be slightly bigger and more comfortable than expected from other reviews. As compensation we were offered the final night in the suite, which was absolutely lovely - I could easily have spent a week in there! Staff were incredibly nice, thoughtful, helpful and kind. Breakfast was so-so - while the buffet was not the most appealing, there were also omelettes made to order, and you're not short of every kind of food option around the neighbourhood anyway."

"Great, everything works. Only inconvenience to note if u book the same room under 2 different reservations, u need to reactivate your room cards for the next booking. We stayed over 3 nights. Booked 2 nights with breakfast & 1 without breakfast coz of an early flight. We had to reactivate the cards even though it’s for the same room, under the same name."
