"Fantastic experience!"

"We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights while we saw family. We enjoyed a meal when we arrived on the Monday evening which was lovely but the portions were large. We decided to have the Continental breakfast on our last morning which is all self service with a lot of choice. The staff were very attentive."

"We had to walk up 42 steps to get to our room carrying our baggage. The place is adequate but dated and the hot water difficult to adjust safely. A window in our room was ajar and there was rot and mold around the frame which caused us to leave it that way. There is no one attending the front desk as the person who checked us in did double duty in the restaurant. The food was fine. "

"All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the man on the hotel reception when we arrived and our waitress in the restaurant. Stayed a year ago and was reallly pleased to see that high room and food standards were still the same."

"Hopefully I’ll be back in early spring with the family. I loved the fact that check in was 2:pm which gives you more time to enjoy the hotel. The hotel is a little isolated but not a million miles from nowhere, so having a vehicle is important to explore the area. I wished I had stayed longer."

"Bath as badly stained by limescale and not actually a bath! Just a water collection point for the shower. Wash hand basin cracked. Waited a very long time to have my dinner order taken at table. Order was incorrect but was ok in the end. "

"Brilliant hotel. we ran over hill road to Chipping sodbury and river Frome. stayed in the same room as the Queen stayed once. For a Bacon sandwich inbetween meal times. "
