"Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy."

The primary reason I chose this hotel over others in town was the spa, and I was quite disappointed to find that it was inaccessible to hotel guests. It proved very difficult to book either online or in person throughout my entire visit. Given that the location is a bit further out from the city center, the inability to use the spa facilities significantly impacted the value of my stay. I hope the hotel...

"We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! "Immediately told we would have to pay £15 for overnight parking in their car park (nobody mentioned there was free parking in their road outside). Then told breakfast would cost £15, even if you only had a bowl of cereal. Room was like an oven, and couldn’t open windows properly, let alone any air conditioning. Very poor value for money."
