"I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t He Stay at the Brae."

"The bathroom floor was bubbling from liquid trapped underneath and the shower handles easily fell off. There isn't staff available in person between 6 PM and 8AM which made it difficult to request cleaning and towel services when the day itinerary was packed. When we checked in they couldn't get us a room until 6PM because of a maintenance issue. When we returned to check in, there was no staff to retrieve our luggage from the store room."

"Actually, we were not able to stay. I did climb the 30 steps to get to the apartment, and it was a very nice place. 40 years ago, it would have been suitable for my wife and I. It would be better suited to younger travelers since all bags have to be carried up the steps. However, I cannot fault the owners because I did not pay close enough attention to the description"

"Edinburgh is very chaotic/touristy on the Royal Mile and this was right in the chaos, however, it felt very safe & the room itself was very spacious, clean & worth the price for it all. I had to contact them once for directions and they answered right away and were super helpful. It sucks there are stairs you have to carry your luggage up and the luggage room was on the first floor, very small/crowded & right next to our apartment room door, but it didn’t seem to get too loud or an issue when...
